Mosquito Control in Clermont, FL
The mosquitoes ruining your evenings probably hatched a few steps from your lanai.
If nights by the pool turn into swatting, the source is usually close. The container mosquitoes that bite in Florida backyards only fly a few blocks in their lifetime, and after an afternoon storm they breed in a plant saucer, a clogged gutter or a bromeliad.
Webenex finds where yours breed, treats the water you can’t empty, and mists the shaded plants where adults rest, every month. It’s $69 a month for your home and yard, priced on this page before anyone pulls into your driveway. Larger properties, call or text (407) 360-7325 for a free property walk and a quote. During business hours, we get back to you within 15 minutes.

Where they come from
Most of the mosquitoes biting you were born within a few blocks.
Florida has more than 80 mosquito species. The container mosquitoes that ruin a backyard evening lay their eggs in small pockets of water close to where they bite, and only fly a few blocks in their lifetime. Find the water and you’ve found the problem.

After a storm
Saucers, toys and tarps
UF/IFAS says larvae can grow in water as small as a bottle cap. Lake County puts it at half an inch. Every afternoon storm refills them.

Gutters and bromeliads
A clogged gutter holds water for days. So does the cup in the middle of a bromeliad. Both are easy to miss from the patio.

Bottle-cap figure from UF/IFAS. Half-inch figure from Lake County Mosquito Management.
Why it’s monthly
Spray once and they’re back in a week. Here’s the clock you’re up against.
A mosquito goes from egg to biting adult in about a week. A spray on the adults doesn’t touch the eggs waiting in the gutter. Press play, or tap a spot in the yard.
Step 1 · After the storm
A Clermont afternoon storm refills every saucer, toy, gutter and bromeliad in the yard. Lake County says mosquitoes can breed in as little as half an inch of water. UF/IFAS puts it at a bottle cap.
- Step 1 · After the storm. A Clermont afternoon storm refills every saucer, toy, gutter and bromeliad in the yard. Lake County says mosquitoes can breed in as little as half an inch of water. UF/IFAS puts it at a bottle cap.
- Step 2 · The eggs were already there. Container mosquitoes glue their eggs to the inside walls, just above the waterline. The CDC says those eggs can survive drying out for up to 8 months, so the next rain hatches them.
- Step 3 · About a week later. For many species it takes about a week to go from egg to adult, according to UF/IFAS. The new adults spend the day resting in shady plants near the house.
- Step 4 · Dusk on the lanai. The CDC puts peak biting around sunrise and sunset, right when you’re out on the lanai, and Aedes can bite during the day too. They only fly a few blocks, so the ones biting you came from close by.
- Step 5 · What you can fix yourself. UF/IFAS says to empty anything holding water at least once a week. Tip the saucers and toys, change the birdbath, flush the bromeliad. That clears three spots. The gutter and the pond edge are still breeding.
- Step 6 · What we do each month. We walk the yard for breeding spots, put larvicide on water that can’t be emptied, and mist the shady plants where adults rest. UF/IFAS says that kind of treatment typically lasts several weeks. In2Care traps go where they fit.
- Step 7 · Why we come back. Larvicide takes about two weeks or more to cut a population, and the next storm refills the yard. June through September, afternoon storms leave the most standing water. A visit every month keeps the treatments ahead of the clock.

Lake County
What the trucks do
Lake County traps mosquitoes year-round in 10 spray regions and sends spray trucks when counts pass a baseline. A truck treats the neighborhood on the nights it runs. It doesn’t come back to your saucers and shrub beds every month. That’s the part we do.
Lake County residents can also request a mosquito inspection or larvicide treatment from the county. Skip the “mosquito plants”: UF/IFAS lists them among methods that don’t reduce mosquitoes. Bromeliad tip from UF/IFAS; eggs-wait-months figure from the CDC.
HOAs, venues and businesses
Bigger grounds, same method, quoted for your property.
Common areas, pool decks, patios and retention ponds get the same monthly method at a bigger scale. Mosquito control is its own service, quoted separately. We walk the grounds for free, and you get the quote before any work starts. We treat after hours and keep service records current.

Florida Certified Pest Control Operator
Meet Kevin Sukovich, the owner who answers for your yard
Kevin started in pest control in 2011, brought the trade to Florida in 2013 with his father, Dave, and founded Webenex in Clermont in 2016 with less than $100. Today he’s the Certified Operator in Charge on Webenex’s Florida license, JB309802.
He wrote our guide to commercial mosquito control, built on the UF/IFAS order of operations: remove the water, treat what can’t be removed, then treat where adults rest. Every visit on this page follows that order, and the person whose license is on the line works out of the office on Highway 50 in Clermont.

Mosquito questions from Clermont homes and businesses
Still have a question?
Call or text us. We’ll call or text you back within 15 minutes during business hours.
How much does mosquito control cost in Clermont?
$69 a month for a home and its yard, and the price is on this page, not quoted at your door. Each monthly visit includes the yard walk, larvicide on water that can’t be emptied, the mist on resting plants and In2Care traps where they fit. You can book your first visit right here. Larger properties, call or text (407) 360-7325 for a free property walk and a quote.
My property is bigger than a typical yard. Does $69 apply?
The $69 price is for a home and its yard. For acreage, HOA common areas, venues and businesses, call or text (407) 360-7325 or send us the form. We walk the property for free and give you a quote before any work starts.
What happens on each visit?
We walk the yard for breeding spots, drainage problems and anything holding water, and point out what you can empty yourself. Then we treat: larvicide on water that can’t be emptied, and a fine mist of larvicide and adulticide from a commercial backpack blower on the shaded plants where mosquitoes rest. In2Care traps go where they fit the property. We treat early morning or late evening, when it works best.
How soon will I notice a difference, and why every month?
It depends on what’s breeding nearby, so we won’t promise a number. Here’s the clock: mosquitoes go from egg to adult in about a week, larvicide takes about two weeks or more to bring a population down, and a treatment on resting plants typically lasts several weeks, according to UF/IFAS. A visit every month keeps those overlapping. Lake County calls April through October the busy season, and June through September is when afternoon storms leave the most standing water.
Is it safe for my kids, dogs and pool area?
Yes, once the treatment is completely dry. Keep kids and pets off the treated plants until then. If you have a pool, a pond, a vegetable garden or pets that stay outside, tell us when we confirm your visit, or add it in the notes when you book.
What do you spray, and does mosquito fogging actually work?
We use a larvicide and an adulticide, plus In2Care traps where they fit. If you want the labels, see the products we use. Fogging the air on its own doesn’t hold up: UF/IFAS says space sprays don’t give long-term control, and that resistance to pyrethroids is widespread in Florida. That’s why each visit starts with the breeding spots and treats the water and the plants where adults rest.
Doesn’t Lake County already spray for mosquitoes?
Yes. Lake County Mosquito Management traps mosquitoes year-round in 10 spray regions and sends spray trucks when counts pass a set baseline. You can also ask the county to inspect your property or treat standing water. The trucks treat the neighborhood on the nights they run. They don’t come back every month to your saucers, gutters and shrub beds, and that’s the part we cover.
Is dengue a risk in Lake County?
The Florida Department of Health’s weekly report for Oct. 4–10, 2026 lists 368 locally acquired dengue cases in Florida this year and none in Lake County. Neighboring Orange County had 5 and is under a mosquito-borne illness alert. The report updates weekly, and health questions belong with the Department of Health. What you can control is the standing water around your home.
Is mosquito control part of my pest control plan?
No. Mosquito control is its own monthly service, separate from our annual, quarterly and bi-monthly pest control plans. You can add it to any plan.
What can I do myself?
Empty anything that holds water at least once a week, change birdbath water, flush bromeliad cups, keep gutters clean and keep window and door screens in good repair. If you can’t get to the gutters, our Gutter Cleaning is $300.
How do I book, change or stop visits?
Book your first visit on this page, or call or text (407) 360-7325. After checkout we call or text to confirm the time and set up your monthly schedule. Add your address, a preferred time and anything about gates or pets in the optional fields, or tell us on that call. To change or stop visits, call or text us.
What if I’m still getting bitten between visits?
Call or text (407) 360-7325 and tell us what you’re seeing. We’ll look at what’s breeding, on your property and around it. A new container, a clogged drain or a neighbor’s standing water can restart the clock between visits. Mosquito service doesn’t carry our plan guarantee — but if you’re still getting bitten, call or text us; we’ll re-check what’s breeding on and around your property and tell you the fix.
Do you serve my town?
Yes, if you’re in or around Clermont: Minneola, Groveland, Montverde, Mascotte, Winter Garden and the rest of Lake County. See our full service area, or call or text (407) 360-7325 to check your address.
Do you offer a military discount?
Yes. Just ask when we schedule.
